Misshipeshu: Guardian of Lake Superior W07
Misshipeshu is often referred to as the guardian of Lake superior. He has deep roots in Indigenous ancestral knowledge in and around the Great Lakes. His image can be found on the pictographs in Agawa Bay, Lake Superior Provincial Park.
This interpretation of Misshipeshu is in swirls of brown and cream, reflecting his rocky surroundings. The glass image is hand cut with a diamond saw, fired in the kiln, mounted on linen and then framed. He would make a wonderful addition to any home celebrating the north and all its heritage. This framed piece is 9″ x 7″.
